ERASMUS+ project 2016-2018


EUROPE PLAYS MUSIC is an ERASMUS+ project.

The project is characterised by:
- Being a musical inclusive project.
- Creating a learning Community through the music.
- Treating the social inequality through peer interaction.
- Having a future projection and a professional development.
- Using and developing New Technologies.

MUSICAL OBJECTIVES

1. To convert the students into the agents of the educative change, encouraging the collaborative research among the students with different views about future work.

2. To listen and recognise a wide variety of works from different styles, genres, tendencies and musical cultures, appreciating their value as a source of knowledge, intercultural enrichment and personal pleasure.

3. To understand and appreciate the relations between the musical language and other languages, areas and fields of knowledge, and so the function and meaning of music in different audiovisual and artistic productions and in the mass media.

AIMS

MUSICAL OBJECTIVES

4. To value the silence and the sound as a comprehensive part of the environment and the music, becoming aware of the acoustic pollution.
5. To develop the language knowledge, the mother tongue and foreign languages, as an instrument of communication, relationship, training and learning.

The contents and the activities are part of the curriculum, and they are going to be developed in the classroom programming, seminars and in the PGA (General Annual Programming)

MUSICAL CONTENTS

1. HEARING EDUCATION.
- Aural attention during 3 minutes, everyday; voices recognition, the location of the sound in the space, the discovery of different tones
- Silence and noise.

2. QUALITIES OF THE SOUND.
- Pitch, volume, length and tone.
- Hymns.

3. VOCAL EDUCATION.
- Group singing in the classroom.
- Set of songs: Popular (folklore), erudite.
- Created by children:
1. To put melody to a poem.
2. To put text to a music.
3. To create their own songs.
4. Current popular.

4. INSTRUMENTAL PRACTICE.
- Percussion instruments.
- Wind instruments: the recorder.
- Stringed instruments: ukelele
- Rudimentary instruments (created by students)
- Folklore musical instruments of the participants.

RESULTS

The products resulting from this project are varied and from different nature. The maintenance will be responsibility of the coordinating center and the rest of the partners.

The web page will remain active after the end of the project. How?
• Commission of the new technology center.
• Computing workshop for students.
• Student intership at University.
• Computer technician.
• Educational platform from Valencian Community "Mestre a casa". (Teacher at Home)

The project website will be a basic and fundamental element. While providing direct information, it serves as a dissemination tool, meeting point, exchange of information and delivery of materials (reference material, brochures, logo, publications...).

The website can also be used to invite acts and events. Moreover, through an intranet with a restricted access to project partners, internal communication between partners is assured.
